Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 and the partitioners, 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings, 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
