The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Arise and warn! 2 And thine Lord magnify! 3 And your garments purify! 4 And all abomination shun! 5 and bestow not favour in order to seek from others a greater return, 6 and be patient unto thy Lord. 7 When the Horn is blown, 8 That, at that time, shall be a difficult day, 9 Far from easy for those without Faith. 10 Leave to Me the one, whom I have created all by Myself, 11 and designated for him ample wealth, 12 And sons to be by his side!- 13 And for whom I smoothed everything. 14 then he is eager that I should do more. 15 Nay! He is forward unto Our signs; 16 and I shall constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 Lo! He reflected, and determined -- 18 Perish he! How maliciously he devised! 19 What an evil plan he has made! 20 Then looked he, 21 Then he frowned and he looked in a bad tempered way; 22 then he retreated and grew proud 23 He said, 'This is naught but a trumped-up sorcery; 24 This is naught but the word of a mortal. 25 Him shall I fling unto the burning. 26 And what do you know what Hell is? 27 It leaveth naught; it spareth naught 28 Scorching the skin. 29 Over it are nineteen [powers]. 30 And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity. 31
