Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
QAF. I CALL to witness the glorious Qur'an. 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves. 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds, 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest, 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 and so did 'Ad, and Pharaoh and Lot's brethren, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
