Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 your ideas are confused. 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
