Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 and the smooth runners 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
