Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 and the partitioners, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
