Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, and brought a fatted calf, 26 He set it before them, saying: 'Will you not eat' 27 And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. 28 Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' 29 They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing." 30 ۞ He said: "What is then your business, O messengers?" 31 They said: Surely we are sent to a guilty people, 32 That we may send down upon them stone of clay, 33 marked by your Lord for the sinful' 34 So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there, 35 But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [i.e. Lout (Lot) and his two daughters]. 36 And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. 37 And in Musa (Moses) (too, there is a sign). When We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority. 38 But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." 39 So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy. 40 There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind 41 It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins. 42 And also in Thamood, when it was said to them, 'Take your enjoyment for a while!' 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. 44 And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. 45 So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. 46
