The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when souls are united, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and the night that falls, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 So where are you going? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
