(O Prophet), did the story of Abraham's honoured guests reach you? 24 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' 25 Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, 26 and placed it before them. "Will you not eat?" he said, 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. 28 So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” 29 They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' 30 ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” 31 They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); 32 "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), 33 Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." 34 We saved all the faithful in the town. 35 And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. 36 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. 37 And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. 38 But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." 39 We seized him and his hosts, and cast them all into the sea: and [none but Pharaoh] himself was to blame [for what happened]. 40 And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind. 41 It did not leave aught on which it blew, but it made it like ashes. 42 And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. 43 But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape, 44 They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. 45 (So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people. 46
