Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibrael (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)? 24 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' 25 Then he turned quietly to his household, and brought forth a fat [roasted] calf, 26 And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. 28 His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" 29 They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing. 30 ۞ He said: "What is then your business, O messengers?" 31 They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” 32 "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), 33 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). 34 So We brought the believers out of that they were in. 35 But We found there but one house of those surrendered (to Allah). 36 We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, 37 And in Musa also was a lesson, when We sent him unto Fir'awn with authority manifest. 38 But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!" 39 We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. 40 And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; 41 that left nothing it came upon, but made it as stuff decayed. 42 And in the tribe of Thamud when it was told to them, “Enjoy for a while.” 43 Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. 44 So they were not able to rise up, nor could they defend themselves- 45 And the people of Nuh We destroyed aforetime; verily they were a people transgressing. 46
