And the heaven, We raised it high with power, and most surely We are the makers of things ample. 47 We have spread out the earth and how brilliantly it is spread! 48 And of everything We have created pairs that you may be mindful. 49 Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him. 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Even thus no apostle came to those before them but they said: "He is a sorcerer or a mad man." 52 Have they handed this down to one another? They are certainly a people who exceed all bounds, 53 So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. 54 But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers. 55 I created the jinn and mankind only so that they might worship Me: 56 I want no sustenance from them nor do I want them to feed Me. 57 Surely God is the All-provider, the Possessor of Strength, the Ever-Sure. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 So ruin is for disbelievers, from their day – which they are promised. 60
