So exhort (them, O Prophet), for by your Lord's Grace, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await an adverse turn of fortune.” 30 Say thou: wait verily I am, with you, among the waiters. 31 Or do their intellects bid them do this? Or are they an insolent people? 32 Do they say: “He has himself fabricated the Qur'an?” No; the truth is that they are altogether averse to believing. 33 Let them produce a phrase like it, if what they say is true! 34 Or were they created out of naught? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty. 36 Or, are the treasures of your Lord in their keeping? Or, are they the controllers? 37 Or have they a stairway (to heaven), by means of which they listen (to the talks of the angels)? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof. 38 Or does Allah have daughters whereas you have sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan. 42 Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! 43 And were they to see a portion of the sky falling, they will say, “It is a heap of clouds.” 44 So, leave them until they face their day (of doom) when they will be stunned. 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 and exalt Him in the night and at the declining of the stars. 49
