Therefore remind! by thy Lord's blessing thou art not a soothsayer neither possessed. 29 Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time! 30 Say thou: wait verily I am, with you, among the waiters. 31 Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people? 32 Or do they say: "He himself has composed this [message]"? Nay, but they are not willing to believe! 33 Then let them bring a discourse like it, if they speak truly. 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and earth? Nay, but they have not sure faith. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord? Have they any authority over God? 37 Have they a stairway whereby they overhear? Then let their listener bring an authority manifest. 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are overburdened by a debt? 40 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 41 Or do they want to stage a deception? -- Then only those who do not believe will be the ones who will be tricked. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him! 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 So leave them alone until they face the day when they will be struck dead from terror 45 A day in which their guile will naught avail them, nor will they be helped. 46 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 Wait patiently for the command of your Lord. We are watching over you. Glorify your Lord when you rise during the night 48 And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars. 49
