Therefore remind! by thy Lord's blessing thou art not a soothsayer neither possessed. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 Say: 'Await! I shall be awaiting with you.' 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith! 33 So let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful 34 Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief. 36 Do they possess the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the treasurers? 37 Or do they have a ladder (climbing which) they can hear (the secrets of heaven)? Let one who has heard then bring a clear proof. 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot! 42 Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him) 43 (So obstinate are they that) even if they were to see some fragments of the sky falling down they would still say: “It is only a mass of cloud.” 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 A Day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all, nor will they be succoured. 46 And verily for those who do wrong there is a torment before that; but most of them know not. 47 And wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, for surely you are before Our eyes, and sing the praise of your Lord when you rise; 48 and exalt Him in the night and at the declining of the stars. 49
