So exhort (them, O Prophet), for by your Lord's Grace, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await an adverse turn of fortune.” 30 Say, "Wait, I too am waiting with you". 31 Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people? 32 Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Quran) if they are truthful. 34 Have they not been created by aught, or are they the creators? 35 Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith. 36 Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord? Or have they been given charge (thereof)? 37 Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot! 42 Have they, then, any deity other than God? Utterly remote is God, in His limitless glory, from anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 the day when their guile shall avail them naught, and they shall not be helped. 46 Surely there are other torments besides this for those who are wicked, though most of them do not know. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
