(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 Say: 'Await! I shall be awaiting with you.' 31 Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people? 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 Then let them produce speech the like thereof, if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Have they a ladder up to heaven by means of which they can overhear? Then let their listeners bring a clear proof. 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or do you demand any wages from them so that they are burdened with expense? 40 Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? 41 Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. 42 Or have they a god, other than God? Glory be to God, above that which they associate! 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 so leave them alone till they face the Day on which they will be struck dumb, 45 the day when their guile shall avail them naught, and they shall not be helped. 46 For the harmdoers there is indeed, a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 Await the judgement of your Lord, for you are always before Our eyes, and glorify your Lord with praises when you rise, 48 and also celebrate His praise at night, and at the retreat of the stars. 49
