The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 How awesome the sudden calamity! 2 And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mountains shall be like plucked wool-tufts. 5 So for one whose scales prove heavy, 6 shall find himself in a happy state of life; 7 And as for him whose balances are light, 8 He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell). 9 And what have you understood, what the one that abases is! 10 It is the scorching fire. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
