(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
