Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
