Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
