Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 Thamud, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
