Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law? 1 It is he who turns down the orphans 2 and urges not the feeding of the needy. 3 So woe to those who pray 4 but whose hearts are not in their prayer. 5 who show off (his good deeds) 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

God the Almighty always says the truth.
