Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
