Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
