Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
