Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
