(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
