(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
