Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
