(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62
