Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
