Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
