Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
