The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your people who deny the truth better than those? Or have you been given immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 BEHOLD, everything have We created in due measure and proportion; 49 And Our Order is but one word like the flashing of an eye. 50 And We destroyed those like you, is there any that will remember! 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 And everything small and great is written down. 53 The pious ones will live in Paradise wherein streams flow, 54 in the seat of truth with an all-powerful sovereign. 55
