And indeed the Noble Messengers came to the people of Firaun. 41 they, too, gave the lie to all Our messages: and thereupon We took them to task as only the Almighty, who determines all things, can take to task. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"? 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness. 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 We have created everything to fulfill a certain purpose. 49 And Our Order is but one word like the flashing of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 And all what they did is in the Books. 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King. 55
