The warnings came also to Pharaoh's folk. 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are the unbelievers among you any better than they? Or is there immunity for you in the Scriptures? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Rather, the Hour is their encounter. And that Hour will be most calamitous and bitter. 46 Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 And Our Command is but a single (Act),- like the twinkling of an eye. 50 And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 And everything small and great is written down. 53 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers, 54 where they will be honourably seated in the presence of a King, Mighty in Power. 55
