The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created man 3 He has imparted unto him articulate thought and speech. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees with their dates in sheaths, 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
