The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He created man 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
