The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Compassionate. 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man. 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
