The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created man. 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 [At His behest] the sun and the moon run their appointed courses; 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 25
