The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He created man, 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
