The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Beneficent 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He created the human 3 He has imparted unto him articulate thought and speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
