The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 He hath created man. 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 but has created a barrier between them so that they will not merge totally. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
