The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The All-merciful 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He hath created man. 3 He has taught him speech (and intelligence). 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 but has created a barrier between them so that they will not merge totally. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
