The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created the human being 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25
