The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He has created man: 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 The plants and trees prostrate before Him. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 25
