Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the midmorning, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
