▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 2 of 3
Everyone that is thereon will pass away; 26 And there will endure for ever the person of your Lord, the Lord of glory and honor. 27 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 28 Whosoever is in the heaven and earth ask Him. Every day He is upon an affair (He reveals according to His Eternal determination). 29 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 30 We shall dispose of you, O ye two dependents (man and jinn). 31 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 32 O society of jinns and men, cross the bounds of the heavens and the earth if you have the ability, then pass beyond them; but you cannot unless you acquire the law. 33 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 34 On you will be sent (O ye evil ones twain!) a flame of fire (to burn) and a smoke (to choke): no defence will ye have: 35 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 36 And when the sky is rent asunder and becomes red like [burning] oil 37 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - 38 On that Day no question will be asked of man or Jinn as to his sin. 39 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 40 The guilty shall be recognized by their marks, so they shall be seized by the forelocks and the feet. 41 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 42 This will be the hell which those who are lost in sin [now] call a lie: 43 they shall go round between it, and between a hot, boiling water. 44 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 45

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
