Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for one who fears to stand before his Lord, are two Gardens. 46 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 47 Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);- 48 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 49 therein two fountains of running water -- 50 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 51 In which are fruits of all kinds, each of two varieties. 52 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 53 Reclining upon thrones that are lined with brocade, with the fruit of both Gardens close enough to be picked from under. 54 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 55 Therein are maidens who restrain their glances, whom neither human nor jinn have touched before. 56 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 57 (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone. 58 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 59 Can any thing else be a response to a favor but a favor? 60 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 61 And besides these shall be two gardens -- 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 63 Densely covered with foliage, appearing dark. 64 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 65 In them will be two gushing springs. 66 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 67 In them (both) will be fruits, and date- palms and pomegranates. 68 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 69 In them are women of good behaviour and gorgeous faces. 70 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 71 [There the blest will live with their] companions pure and modest, in pavilions [splendid] 72 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 73 There hath deflowered them neither man nor jinn. 74 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets. 76 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Honor! 78

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
