▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for one who fears to stand before his Lord, are two Gardens. 46 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 47 Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);- 48 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 49 In both of them, there are two springs flowing. 50 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 51 In them will be Fruits of every kind, two and two. 52 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 53 Reclining upon thrones that are lined with brocade, with the fruit of both Gardens close enough to be picked from under. 54 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 55 therein maidens restraining their glances, untouched before them by any man or jinn -- 56 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 57 As (lovely as) rubies and as (beautiful as) coral. 58 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 59 Should the reward of goodness be aught else but goodness? -- 60 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 61 Besides those two there shall be two other gardens. 62 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 63 Dark green (in colour). 64 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 65 In the Gardens are two springs, overflowing with abundance. 66 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 67 In both gardens there will be fruits, palm-trees, and pomegranates 68 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 69 In them are goodly things, beautiful ones. 70 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - 71 Fair ones reserved in pavilions - 72 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 73 Neither human nor jinn will have touched them before. 74 Which, then, of the benefits of Your Lord will ye twain belie? 75 They will be reclining on plain green and beautifully printed cushions 76 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 77 Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor. 78
