The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 On lined couches, 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 And clustered plantains, 29 And spreading shade, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And abundant fruit, 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 and upraised couches. 34 We have formed them in a distinctive fashion, 35 and made them virgins, 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
